Yes. Vivo therapies are prescribed by independent licensed providers and compounded by licensed US 503A pharmacies. That's the standard, regulated path for compounded medicine — not a workaround.

Who prescribes it?

An independent, licensed provider with Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC — the affiliated provider group for this program — reviews your intake. If treatment is appropriate for you, they issue a prescription. If it isn't, they won't — that's what supervision means.

Is my health information private?

Your intake is handled with HIPAA-conscious data practices and is used for one purpose: your provider's clinical review. We don't sell health data. Details will be spelled out in our privacy policy, currently in attorney review.

Do I need a prescription? How does that work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Vivo protocol is prescription-only. When you complete your intake, a licensed US provider in your state reviews your medical history and, if appropriate, writes the prescription. The compounded medication is then shipped directly to your door.

How long does the visit take?

About 10–15 minutes, online, whenever suits you. There's no appointment and nothing to schedule.

Will I need to get on a video call?

The review is asynchronous by default. Depending on the telehealth regulations in your state, a synchronous visit — a live video or phone consultation — may be required before a provider can prescribe. A video visit also happens any time the provider decides one is clinically indicated.

What does “compounded” mean?

A compounding pharmacy prepares a medication for one person against one prescription, rather than manufacturing it in batches for retail sale. That is a distinct, regulated category of pharmacy practice — and it is why your medication is prepared only after a provider writes the prescription.

Is this FDA-approved?

No. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies for individual prescriptions and are not FDA-approved drug products. FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality before they are dispensed. We state this plainly because you should know it before you decide.

What happens if I'm not approved?

Accepted Answer

No prescription is issued, and you are not charged for medication. Entering payment information at checkout authorizes your payment method — it does not capture a charge. A charge is captured only after a provider approves the prescription.

Can I see the testing for my batch?

A certificate of analysis is issued for each batch by the pharmacy that prepares it. To request the certificate covering your fill, ask your prescribing provider or contact the dispensing pharmacy identified on your prescription label.

That's a clinical question, and the answer depends on your history, your other medications, and your circumstances. Your provider will discuss whether this treatment is appropriate for you during your visit. We don't answer it on a web page, because a web page doesn't know any of that about you.

Email care@vivoclinic.org before your next fill is compounded and we'll cancel or change it. Once the pharmacy has begun compounding an order, it can't be canceled or refunded — it's being prepared specifically for you. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
